In 2024 @peaq launched " $PEAQ verify," a three-tiered data verification framework for DePINs . This system aims to address the issue of untrustworthy data from devices in Web3.
The framework is composed of three tiers:
Tier 1: Already available, it uses cryptographic signatures to allow devices to sign data with their private keys, which can then be verified using the device's public key.
Tier 2: Will use machine learning to detect data anomalies and flag malicious actors or faulty hardware.
Tier 3: Will incorporate a trusted oracle to cross-reference data from community devices for added protection against inaccurate readings.
DePINs like NATIX and Silencio were the first to integrate this framework.
